Love Island - Couples Still Going Strong
Cara De La Hoyde & Nathan Massey – 2016
After a bit of a whirlwind start, we think it is safe to say out of every single couple to come out of love island this pair certainly earn the title of the most advanced relationship, if there ever was such a saying! At the beginning it was very touch and go if these two would last, we we’re all left on tender hooks as the couple each released multiple statements on their Instagram being very shady as to whether they were going to split. A lot of their threats on breaking up was said to be a media stunt and thank goodness as they are now the proud parents to their beautiful 2-year-old son Freddie, a picture-perfect family. Cara and Nathan finally recently tied the knot during an intimate low-key wedding with family and friends in June 2019. We are now patiently awaiting the birth of baby number 2 as we watch Cara’s bump grow!
Olivia Buckland & Alex Bowen – 2016
These two sure proved most of the nation wrong when a lot of viewers speculated it would not last outside the villa, and Alex’s lie detector didn’t help the situation! Poor Olivia had her fair share of let downs in the beginning until the hunk of a man that is Alex showed up, little did she know the life they had ahead of each other together. This pair give us a great insight into their world through Olivia’s Instagram and boy do they look happy! They extended their family by welcoming two scrumptious French Bulldogs into their home, who go by the names of Winnie and Reggie. They tied the knot back in 2018, their wedding location was a stunning venue in Essex. We will keep our ears pricked for baby news as we hear Olivia is coming around to the idea.
Jess Shears & Dom Lever – 2017
During the 2017 series Dom seemed happy to be coupled up with fellow contestant Montana Brown and reassured her his head would not be turned, but everything soon changed when Jess showed up and blew everyone away. Sadly, Jess was the first to get the boot and loyal Dom decided to walk so they could be together and what a good decision that turned out to be! The stunning couple did not waste any time hanging around getting married; In 2018 they aired a wacky ceremony on Good Morning Britain, followed by the real deal in the sunny Greek Island of Mykonos. They now have beautiful baby boy who they have been keeping very private.
Camilla Thurlow & Jamie Jewitt – 2017
Hate to say it but this was a couple we really did not think would last but boy was we wrong! It seems taking things slow paid off for this pair, sorry Jamie we take back everything we thought. We are so happy Camilla found long lasting happiness with the former Calvin Klein model, girl did good! It seems that the couple are sticking by their moto of taking things slow as they only moved out of Jamie’s parent’s home in February last year, and were kind enough to treat fans to multiple social media posts to show off their fabulous country chic house. It would seem French Bulldogs are a Love Island Favourite, Camilla & Jamie have also have two beauties named Audrey & Guss. There are no signs of wedding bells just yet for this happy couple but we are absolutely sure it will happen, when is the question!
Molly-Mae & Tommy Fury – 2019
This duo has got to be one of the most gorgeous couples ever to have lived! However much we love our Maura Higgins we are so glad Tommy chose to stay put with Molly Mae, even if she was playing a bit of a game in the beginning. God knows why the pair of them did not win as they sure showed they were a solid couple by the end. No news of babies or a wedding yet but seriously can you be surprised; it has not even been a year yet guys! Oh, actually does Ellie Belly count as a child? Although no talk of children or the sound of wedding bells the couple have moved into one of the most extravagant penthouse apartments in Manchester we have ever seen, it even has their very own sauna!
Paige Turley & Finley Tapp - Winter 2020
After resisting many temptations of hot new roomies in the villa and the dreaded Casa Amor, we are incredibly pleased to announce that this pair are 100% still each other’s type on paper. As winners of the first ever winter addition filmed in South Africa, they bagged their selves £50k in prize money which they shared equally between themselves. This couple have proved they are genuine, with Finn driving 6 hours to Paige’s home in Scotland to be in lockdown together. During their quarantine together they have been watching plenty of Netflix and going for walks with Paige’s dog, along with a tripod to take photos of course.
Luke Trotman & Siannise Fudge - Winter 2020
If you want to know what a perfect couple is then look no further, after watching the runners up on this year’s winter season it appears, they were made for each other. Did you know it has recently been released that they were 1% of votes away from beating winners Paige Turley and Finley Tapp, from bagging the 50k prize. At the beginning of the show it was tough to watch our beloved Sianise, it is fair to say she had to get past a few frogs to get to her prince charming! When Luke T finally made his entrance, we could not help but fear Sianise’s heart may be broken yet again. We were overjoyed to find out the feelings were more than mutual, even if there was a small hurdle by the name of Rebecca in the way for a moment. These two have got to be the most genuine couple we have seen in life let alone Love Island. It goes without saying the pair are spending lockdown together although sadly have had to temporarily pull out of buying their first home. If you need entertaining during your own lockdown, make sure you check their latest dance routines! Their social channels do not disappoint….
Callum Jones and Molly Smith – Winter 2020
Sorry shaughna, we hate to say it but we knew Molly was the one for Callum as soon as he started speaking about her to the boys in Casa Amor. As much as we love Shaughna it was apparent from the get-go that there was something not quite right in their relationship, it felt like they were more mother and son rather than a couple. As much as we did not want Callum to break Shaugna’s heart, it was lovely to see a warmer side to Callum with how he was towards Molly. Their relationship on the outside has gone from strength to strength, they have moved in together and currently spending lockdown together.
Eva Zapico and Nas Majeed, winter 2020
Firstly, can we start by saying how much we love Demi, but we are sorry to say we do feel Nas and Eva are a better match. So, we are not 100% sure but the latest news is that this pair is still a couple. The couple said they had even met each other’s parents. The last we heard was them being accused of splitting, they then hit back saying they were exclusive and posted a picture of themselves together on social media. By looking at each of their Instagrams they seem to be spending lockdown away from each other, so although there has been no news of a split we would not be surprised if they were sadly no longer together.
Jess Gale and Ched Uzor - Winter 2020
Another couple made during Casa Amor on this year’s winter season. It would be easy to believe that this pair who came forth are no longer together, but they have recently hit back stating this is not true. The couple have explained that although they are not exclusive, they are taking things slowly and keeping things private as you would getting to know someone in the real world. As you can imagine from reading this they are not spending lockdown together. Jess is in lockdown with her twin Eve posting lots of content, whilst Ched is posting lots of exhausting looking workout videos! We look forward to an update on their relationship status, will the absence make the heart grow stronger?
